Troy Aikman Was Once Committed to OSU?

This may be common knowledge to older OSU fans but I was born in 1991. I had no idea Aikman had once committed to OSU. I knew he was from Henryetta, went to OU, and transferred to UCLA before becoming an NFL Hall of Famer. Is it common knowledge that he had committed to OSU?

I think this was also before scholarship limits, when OU and Nebraska would sign a guy and never intent to play him, but to keep him away from their competitors.
