I know the bats are different, but if I'm Josh Holliday or Kenny I'm getting that guy around my players as much as possible.

What he taught was MINDSET and he did it better than anyone. I was just thinking today about how he got jobbed out of a title in 1990 when Georgia only had to beat us once.

Oh sure, I get that. But that's the argument I've heard from some--"it's a different game now" and yes overall scoring is down over the last 20 years, but a good approach is still a good approach.

In fact I view it a lot like the Sutton-Iba basketball approach. Basketball is all about threes and baseball is all about homers, but these "old school" styles are still very effective and will eventually cycle back to being more popular.
