Texas A&M Aggies v Oklahoma State Cowboys

Getting some of the foreigners is a new strategy many coaches are doing. They don’t have the primadona ball hog mentality that the AAU stars mandate. Gonzaga was one of the first and look at their success. Bunch of blue collar guys who are selfless and want team success over their own. Hard to find that in the states! Excited to watch this defensive high energy brand of ball!

I believe Dave stated some of these were pros over seas as well. I would expect that type of experience and perspective certainly helps.

Despite still trying to recognize who-is-who on the court, I liked this rotation a lot better for this game, but I think that was a product of Lutz having more key players available.

2 players with 30+ minutes.
7 players with 18+ minutes, so a good 7 man rotation with Roy out becomes an 8 man rotation.

Players designated as F/C only accounted for 63 our of 200 minutes. So we will definitely see some 5 G rotations. Granted we have some big guards: 6'5", 6'6", 6'6", and 6'8". Plus Roy is listed at 6'5"

Possible starting rotation:
Fallah
Roy
C.Coleman
I. Coleman
Curry (PG)

Major contributors:
Miller
Crotty
Mantzoukas over Vukovic but Vukovic will still get 10 minutes or so per game.

Trying to figure out where Clary fits in. Led in assists against ORU but really didn't play against A&M. I did not get to see the ORU game.

Definitely better talent and chemistry than last year.

Did you not watch this game either? Because Clary very obviously got hurt, that’s why he didn’t play as much. Clary is absolutely a 20 minute a game guy. He and Curry should share PG duties while also playing in some lineups together. Those two are such a huge upgrade over Brantley and Dean from last year at the PG position.

Still trying to learn all the players, I must have missed it. There also hasn't been any follow-up reports about.

I did mention this team is definitely more talented than last year, but I guess you overlooked it.

Thanks for ripping into me for no reason, I hope your day improves.

I didn’t rip into you at all. If you thought that was ripping into you, then you need to toughen up. Cause that’s a Charmin Soft reaction on your part. And if you’re gonna come back at me, don’t do it in a passive aggressive way with a “guess you overlooked it”, then with “hope your day improves”. Do it like a man at least.

I’m excited to watch this team this season. This is the best team we’ve had in Stillwater in many many years! If we can get Anthony Roy healthy we’ll be even better than we were against Texas A&M. The daunting part this year is the Big 12 is a ridiculous gauntlet. It is by far the best basketball conference in America and it’s not even close. Every game is going to be a bare knuckle brawl! I do think this team has the skill iand the chemistry to make some noise.
