Systemic racism or racism in the system

This isn't calling you out but this is a problem that white america has. They refuse to label anything racist unless it's blatant. I personally believe it's because people think if they start to admit things are racist then they themselves are then racist. Almost everyone has said or done something racist. The problem isn't saying something racist, it's not correcting the behavior or speech when you are shown that it's racist.
Let's examine this since you keep bringing it up. Shortly after Mike Boynton was hired I referred to him as Coach Boy because he was young and that was the 1st 3 letters of his name. You screamed racist so I explained that I wasn't being racist and quit using the term. Here we are 4.5.6 years later and you still dwell on it, but here's the thing, I simply saw him as our basketball coach, you saw him as our black basketball coach. Now you tell me which one of us is racist.

The funny thing about your mental gymnastics trying to make this not racist is that even if the purpose is to damage Minnesota State Government, it STILL its first and fundamental proposition that:

1. Somalis aren't smart enough to commit large scale fraud.

2. Therefore it had to be smart white guys that are actually driving it.

Which is STILL racist.

I'm not "trying to make this not racist." I am pointing out that Trump has called many people he doesn't like low IQ. That includes POC and white people. He's also praised people he likes as being smart. That includes POC and white people.

If Somalis average an IQ of 68 and the Somali people who conducted the fraud were all 68 IQ, that's amazing heist. The Democrats who helped them probably aren't all white guys. These are very large assumptions.

I'd be more inclined to believe that Trump is racist if I was provided evidence that isn't cherry picking. So, what he's called POC low IQ? That seems racist at face value, but how am I supposed to measure that when he does it for white people? Could it or could it not be that guy talks crap on all people he hates?

If there's something more concrete to go all in on besides his IQ claims that he does to everyone, not just poc, post it here and I can go all in. Right now it's arguably vailed racism. A good concrete proof example would be to claim that Trump is a sexist abuser of women as the evidence is he claims he can "grab them by the p*$$*." There's not arguing that one.

I'm not confused.

You've gone from:

"If Trump said Somali people have low IQ that would be a racist and/or prejudice thing to say."

"Sharing the alleged Somali IQ average (of 62) MIGHT be racist."

Which is essentially what I predicted.

Additionally, the "bigger picture" being alluded to first requires acceptance of the racist claim being true.

Somalis are too low IQ to have come up with this fraud themselves....

Therefore, Minnesota Democrat Official had to be engaged in the fraud.

The mental gymnastics you're going through to avoid just admitting that Trump said or endorsed something inherently, obviously racist is pretty impressive, man.

Kudos on that.

And kudos on your opinion.

Trump doesn't like the Somali fraudsters. He calls them low IQ. Trump doesn't like Mitt Romney. He calls him low IQ. Does Trump have something against Somali people and Mormons?

If Ilhan Omar was a top MAGA Republican, do you think he'd call her low IQ? Or would he talk about how smart she is?

Whit 1:

Saying Somali people have low IQ would be a racist and/or prejudice thing to say

Whit 2:

Maybe he's not being racist by posting a video saying Somali people have low IQ.

Whit 3:

I'm not trying to make this not racist.

That's missing context. I'm not sold that the goal of sharing the video is racist dunk. Again, Trump insults the intelligence of everyone he doesn't like. Can you address that at all?

It;s not missing context at all.

Your first statement:

Saying Somali people have a low IQ would be a racist and/or prejudiced thing to say.

(Is definitive and absolute. Not qualified.)

Second (and your statement just quoted):

I'm not sold that quoting someone saying Somali people have a low IQ is a racist and/or prejudiced thing to say....If your goal isn't that.

(Qualifying that saying Somali people have a low IQ might not be a racist and/or prejudiced thing to say)

I'm not trying to convince you of anything. I'm merely pointing out that you're contradicting yourself. And then trying to claim that you aren't.

As far as "Trump insults the intelligence of everyone he doesn't like".....several other board members have pointed out the argument on that issue. It's clear you don't agree. Why would I bother trying again?

To be clear, I haven't tried and am not trying to convince you one way or the other that Trump is or isn't a racist.

My responses have been limited to whether or not saying/arguing that Somali people have a low IQ is a racist/prejudice thing to say.

I contend it is. And your first statement agreed with me...without qualification. Then you start qualifying how saying Somali people have a low IQ might not be a racist/prejudiced thing to say. Then you say you're not trying to make saying Somali people have a low IQ not racist.

We wouldn't even be having this conversation if your argument admitted that Trump said/argued something racist and/or prejudiced (Somali people have a low IQ), but that doesn't prove his is a racist.

Does Trump think Somalis have a low IQ? He can't really edit the video he shared and the video he shared had a separate focus.

And.....at last.....we come full circle to my first prediction.

Eerily prescient.

Predicted response:

Trump didn't say Somali people have a low iq. He just posted on his social media someone else saying it.

And the separate "focus" necessarily depends wholly and necessarily upon the assertion that Somali people have a low IQ as a fact.

Vance omits mention of Jews from Holocaust Remembrance Day statement, incensing Jewish critics on both sides of the aisle

American Jewish groups have anxiously parsed Vance’s approach to antisemitism over the last few months. The vice president has previously failed to condemn a college student’s antisemitic question; remains close with Tucker Carlson; and has said several times that antisemitism is not a problem in the conservative movement. “We have far more important work to do than canceling each other,” he said at a Turning Point USA conference in December.

He has also said that stopping immigration is the best way to combat antisemitism.
