Pretty cool camp kitchen and device charger powered by fire.

6 year old tech. Makes me wonder what 100 million Americans look like trying to start small fires to use their phones.

I don't know how that particular one performs just pulled it as a quick example of small compact solar USB charger for off the grid. There are a ton of them out there in the 20 - 50 dollar range. I have one but not that exact one. The single panel is a pretty slow charge of the storage battery. There is one portable panel kit out there called Big Blue that is strictly a charging panel, 28w so it will charge a phone in about 30 minutes from dead but no storage and a quite a bit bigger. Will still fit in a backpack.
