Portal Recruiting and Roster Updates

Agree with this 100%. Don't like expanding it, just waters down the competition and event.
When 2/3 of your season is largely ignored, you either move your calendar (whole other rant) or maximize the part people are interested in.

I agree that it waters things down but you’ve got the NBA doing this now too.

Regarding the recent "big man" acquisitions, I see that Steve's learned his lesson about having a roster full of dwarfs (or little ones, if that's more politically correct. I don't know.. WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?). His first and second roster looked like they were playing against a foe made of redwood trees.. it was like that every single game.

Lets hope it's a secret winning formula.. in the NIL, you don't get the luxury of playing with the same teammates the entire 4-years of eligibility.

As it is, I still don’t support NIL and the transfer portal. Maybe if there were a monetary cap and everyone received the same amount on every roster, it would eliminate jealousy. It would also get rid of the “I’m getting paid way more than my teammates, so I need to boost my stats to prove my worth” mindset—in other words, the “I need to take every shot like Kobe.”

Or maybe it’s just that I’m a 43-year-old guy yelling at the clouds much sooner than I expected.

They’ve already been exposed to the pay structure you mentioned.
