Portal Recruiting and Roster Updates

First I have heard of Parsa possibly being back. How would that be possible?
It’s reported that he has applied for a waiver for an additional season. Not sure the basis bc when you look at games played for his 4 active seasons the lowest number is 25. But it’s a crazy world.

Apparently he and his reps think he has a decent shot but everyone else is saying it’s a moonshot at best.

With the Georgetown big, Ben and Ragland I would guess OSU thinks it’s a lost cause as well. Although we did carry 4 bigs this year and needed every single one.

the case is based on one of his years at southern utah he was experience a medical condition where he would gain like 30 lbs, then lose 30 lbs and they couldn't figure out what was going on.. but he played thru it but not near 100% .. so he has documentated proof of a rare medical condition.. thus the argument for a medical reshirt\year of eligilty not to count

I know it was a ton of work and we have a ways to go before Nov, but your profiles ahead of the season from last year were the best stuff on the team anywhere. I hope you have the time and inclination to do that again.

Also, looks like we are at 13 roster wise. Any word on us holding a spot open for Parsa just in case the long shot lands? And it might be a non factor give the word could come in by end of May.
If I have time, I’ll absolutely do write ups again.

I am still hoping that the last couple roster spots go to guys who will be contributors so this isn't set in stone but as it stands here is my 2 deep:

PG: Clary
PG2: Walker

SG: Natt
SG2: Felesi

SF: Bogavac
SF2: Montonati

PF: Allmond
PF2: Grbovic

C: Halaifonua
C2: Ahmed

He has a year under his belt and presumably will improve for the next season. Maybe he's it.
Hope so. That was an area he didn't really improve in. Late in the season he was still making the same mistakes with over dribbling and taking poor shots. He did a lot of good things and was a key in some big wins, but also could be detrimental.

BUT, I'm sure it has been addressed in the offseason. I just think he needs some competiton to push him. Maybe the young guys will.

When they go to 76 teams probably 60 of them will not change year-to-year. Very few P4 teams will have to fire coaches, saving 10s of millions of dollars in buy outs.

Athletic Director to fans: "we can't fire Josh H. (just to pick a random name), he makes the big dance every year!"

Fans: "yeah, but he finishes 10th in the conference and never gets past the first weekend!"

AD: "well, maybe I shouldn't have put the "big dance clause" in his contract, but we didn't want him to leave for Austin Peay - they're in every year now, too."

They aren't adding more mid majors. This is so they can add the 14th place SEC school and no one get super mad about it.

So 8 more teams get in...5-6 combined from the Big 10 and SEC and 2-3 combined from everyone else. I don't watch the first 4 and I'm not going to watch the first 12. Heck I don't even fill out my brackets until after the first 4 because I consider those play in games to the actual tournament. I would rather tune into the first round of the NIT than the round 0 of the NCAA Tourney. Greed is ruining college sports at an alarming rate.

Edit: And I will consider any coach who doesn't make the round of 64 to have not made the tournament. So 3 years losing in round 0 is no different than 3 years losing in the NIT.

Now Auburn will be comfortably in and Miami (OH) will still barely squeak into the play in after getting their first L of the year in the conference championship tournament final.
I didn't think the SEC could make me despise them more, yet here we are...
