I would hope that since he hasn’t announced anything that Ragland is coming back. Would love to see what a year of college strength and conditioning could do for him

Could also be holding out to see what kind of big men we land in the portal before the window closes to see what is going to happen to his playing time opportunities.
Seems like I remember hearing that he has a unique skill set for a player that big, soft touch and good passing ability. Hope he can shed some weight and be able to be counted on for extended minutes.

Doing a little research this morning on Ragland and on 4/8, Jeff Johnson with On3 wrote the following in an article about Isaiah Coleman entering the portal:
"Coleman is the last of the expected entries from Steve Lutz’s 2025-26 squad, his second at OSU. Only point guard Kanye Clary has positively announced that he will return to OSU for next season, but we still expect guard Ryan Crotty, center/forward Ben Ahmed and power forward Mekhi Ragland to be back for the Pokes in 2026-27. Only forward Andrija Vuckovic remains as a complete unknown via our sources."
Sounds like the Vukovic entry caught the coaching staff off guard but Johnson was right about Crotty and Ahmed. So it sounds like Ragland is expected to be back.
