I figured it would be good to have a thread up.

TCU up 2 on number 1 seed Duke 16 mins left in the 2nd half.

It would be quite the upset.

I don't like Brad Underwood.

That's my only contribution to the bulletin board today.
I still fault Holder for letting Underwood get away. He clearly showed he was a coach that would succeed after his first year at OSU and Holder wouldn’t make a commitment to OSU basketball. Underwood is a Final Four coach today, Holder failed big time.

Even if Undwrwood stays, Lamont Evans still gets us put on probation and the serious sanctions are still imposed. Does anyone think Underwood has the same success in Stillwater with the sanctions in place?

Do we still get Cade? Him plus better coaching with Boynton doing work as a recruiter-Im not saying we are a final four team this year but I think we actually have tournament success at some point in the last decade.

The 2021 tournament could have been special with Underwood if we also still had Cade. The path to the final four was a 13 seed, a 12 seed, an 8 seed and a 2 seed Houston that was very beatable. Then you get a Baylor team in the final four that you just beat in the conference tourney.

We should have been able to make the elite 8 that year at the very least. Love love love Boynton as a person and recruiter, but will always by upset that he couldn't take advantage of that lucky break that fell into our lap.

Of course, once you start playing what if, one could argue that if we had a different coach that led to a better season that year, we earn a different seed that doesn't get us that lucky path to the final four.

Cades team had a really bad roster outside of Cade. Rondell Walker couldn’t cut it at TCU. Moncrieff couldn’t cut it at Georgia. The Boone twins just weren’t ever good enough. Kuoma was the only size we had and he was terrible. Chris Harris never lived up to the hype. Likekele was an offensive liability. Avery Anderson was a good piece, but he needed the ball in his hands to be effective, and the ball belonged to Cade. For all of Boyntons accolades as a recruiter, I don’t feel like he could ever construct a roster with solid depth.

Boynton built one helluva great team. Michigan will win the national championship and with ease. It took Boynton just 2 classes to turn Michigan into monster. Boynton recruited nearly the entire roster... I think only one or two were recruited by Dusty.

Boynton will be a HC somewhere at the start of the 2026-2027 season. And he's a helluva great guy, too

I wish him well, wherever he goes, unless it’s OU.
