OSU @ KU

When you procrastinate and fail to make moves necessary tp preserve/regain a legacy of excellence, at some point that legacy just becomes ancient history with no bearing on the current program. Just like basketball where everything that Eddie built is utterly lost, the national opinion of Cowboy baseball is no longer that national power but an “also ran” program that currently ranks lower than the Kansas Jayhawks. Recruiting is crippled and your new legacy is a program that stinks with little chance for post season! That’s where we are and any future success will have to be built from scratch. I don’t think Josh is the person to make that happen!

I agree with your sentiment, but not the recruiting part. We have high end talent on the roster. I see no ability for this staff to develop kids. Kids come in and do really well for the most part their first year in the program and then consistently regress.

I would like to see what other coaches could do with our talent. Talent loses when it doesn’t execute fundamentals.

Bottom line though, Josh is not the guy unless he makes some serious changes and he seems to be too arrogant to make those changes.

Exactly. It would be so easy to recruit against this staff by just showing how little the players here develop. BUT, professionals don't really care, they just draft off of talent anyway so we still get a lot of guys drafted.
