This team seems to pack it in once things begin to go against them. They have been lazy getting back on defense. Continue to get caught by screens, leaving shooters wide open and turn the ball over like crazy.
Whatever OSU is paying them it is too much.

I'm not sure the hoops program has been at a lower point...at least in my lifetime. This is beyond embarrassing.

I sure hope Lutz has the resources to get some talent in the portal for next year. OSU might have the least amount of talent in the league, certainly in the bottom third of the conference.

It doesn't feel like it but this season has been an improvement compared to last year - in wins/losses alone. It will be interesting to see what Lutz can do in the next two years with a roster that he didn't have to scrape together after being hired so late.
Would feel a lot better if the recruiting up to this point was progressing. We're going to be very portal heavy again but if it's just one and done players again I don't see how we get better.

He's going to have to go find a star at a mid major and throw some money at him (if he gets any), then find sophomores and juniors in the portal. He can't afford to have a team full of freshman next year but you're right, if it's always 4th and 5th year guys it will never change.

We were all used to Boynton's teams by that point and mostly just accepted that it was going to be bad till there was a change. Now we were giving a little bit of hope and started caring again. The eye test says these guys play better basketball it's just not translating to wins.
