4 game series @ GCU starts tonight. I believe you can watch for free through the Mountain West Network..
Also- I Don’t want to step on any toes here, so Chairman — feel free to take this over if you’d rather handle the series threads again. Same for anyone else who may want to regularly post these..
Sandite, you put together the one last weekend, so feel free to take over if not the Chairman. I just want to get some baseball talk going more regularly on here.
It’s early, but this weekend feels like a pretty good barometer to see where we’re really at to start the season after a bipolar opening weekend.
GCU is always solid and produces talent, though it appears they too had a shaky opening weekend (1–2 with a win over Northeastern and losses to Penn State and Nebraska). Other than that, I don't know much about them, but will bet we will have to play well to get a series win.
Main things I want to see:
• A Cut down on strikeouts....
• Less free passes on the mound
Curious to see more from our arms, especially Barret & Lund (who looked electric), along with some of the freshman bats. Also interested to hear thoughts on who people think will be the Game 4 starter? Who will start the midweek next Tuesday?
If we get out of the desert 3–1, I’m happy. Thoughts?
