Did you know that Macy's hasn't paid a dime in property taxes the entire time its distribution center has been hiring Oklahomans as an incentive to come to Owasso in the first place? The state has been paying the bill for them. Now the Oklahoma Tax Commission tells me, Macy's is no longer going to be in compliance with the agreement. I looked into what happens to all that money, especially when $800,000+ goes to Owasso Public Schools.

Lawmakers aim to circumvent Oklahoma voters by putting state questions on low turnout election​

I hope it backfires on them like the way it did for holding the med marijuana question during the 2018 primary. It won by a good amount, and Republicans were further shocked that a few of their incumbents got voted out.

To repeal extended Medicaid, I wonder how Republicans will frame their ads to say it's best to vote against your best interests, especially for those on extended Medicaid.

The main reason why extended Medicaid barely passed the first time around was because most rural voters believed that since it had to do with Obama's ObamaCare, it had to be very, very bad and best avoided. But I wonder how rural people feel about it now after experiencing it. Do they care if no more extended Medicaid may put some of their hospitals at risk of closing?

Interesting how Republican support providing many billions to help Trump's illegal, chaotic war on Iran and then turn around and cut Medicaid.

It's really quite easy to explain but with rather long response. The many Oklahoma people who usually vote only for Republicans strongly feel that no matter how bad their living conditions get under Republican rule that it will only get even hellishly worse if they vote for Democrats and let then in office. I might as well include Republicans perceived as RINOs in on that.

And once again, some of it has to do with how poorly educated reflective of poor critical thinking skills, being lackadaisical, having willful ignorance and being gullible that too many Oklahoma people can be. They possibly have friends who have talked behind their backs, "I can't believe how gullible he can be. He will believe anything you say." Of course, Republicans politicians having probably said the very same thing want to exploit such gullible voters. That Oklahoma is slower than most other states in turning against Trump is further reflective of the sad way it is.

And then Republican requirement to be pro-life, even with no exception along with being very pro-gun and anti-LGBTQ also enters into the picture. The other issues, such as education and health care, matter considerably less if on the list at all. You should have heard the debate between four Republicans running for governor put on by the radical Oklahoma Freedom Caucus. Or as former Oklahoma legislator and now political commentator Cal Hobson puts it:

BURY YOUR MONEY IN THE BACK YARD. HIDE THE CHILDREN IN THE BASEMENT. TAKE GRANNY TO THE SENIOR SHELTER. BUY YOURELF ANOTHER BAZOOKA. AND MOST OF ALL SQUARE UP WITH GOD. THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE WERE RUNNING AMUCK LAST NIGHT, ALL IMPERSONATING FOUR OF THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES FOR GOVERNOR.
