Im cool with what is happening until it happens to me.
We talk all the time about poor people voting against their own interests. But, that is typically somewhat complicated tax and benefit issues.
This guy came to the US at a time that the republicans had suspended DACA. He then, despite having a deportation order, joins and is active in the very party that was preventing him from staying and is now deporting him.
And, his cognitive dissonance is strong enough that he is whining about it. Dude, you were an active part of your own deportation. STFU.

A Sperry man is charged with 1 count of making a lewd/indecent proposal to a child.

WHAT THE PROBABLE CAUSE AFFIDAVIT SAYS HAPPENED:
-He's a family friend to the family of the 4 year old victim.
-He was at the victim's home and she asked if he would take her to go visit her friend, Denton's step-daughter and that was allowed.
-When he brought her back home about an hour later, the victim told her mother, Denton had asked her to do something "yucky."
-The girls says Denton was peeing outside and asked her if she wanted to touch his privates.
-The girl says she told him, "My mom said I can't touch anyone's private parts," so they left and he returned her home.
-The girl said Denton told her to keep it a secret and said, if she told, said, her mom would be mad at her, but, the girl said, her mom was proud of her for telling.
-Denton is a former Owasso Police officer who we have reported on before; some of those stories are below.
-This is a charge, not a conviction.

Interesting that Lowe says “districts that choose to use discretionary funds to cover meals cost for all students do so voluntarily”. Maybe there are some districts that do use discretionary funds to cover all students meals, but I am not personally aware. All districts that I know of that covered meals this school year were funded through Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) by USDA. There were actually quite a few schools covered by CEP in Oklahoma (in Tulsa area —- all Tulsa Public Schools and Sand Springs Public Schools).

For CNBC's best states for doing business in 2025, Oklahoma has fallen from no. 26 to 37, compared to 2024. Gov. Stitt and Oklahoma legislative leaders should be held accountable for the downfall. At least Oklahoma is still no. 1 for cost of doing business. Republicans didn't screw up that part of it.
