Duecet is boring defensive wrestler, but he wins. And 285 has really cleared out. So I think it will be hard to get someone better than Doucet.

I think Duecet is more likely to AA than Merrill, but we will see. Absent transfers, I think it is Thompson, Merrill and Doucet at 184, 197, and 285. I think you could argue all 3 AA.

Agree we may see JJ McComas at 133. Likely him or Rin. So Spratley at 126 and Rin or McComas at 133. Pretty solid.

I think we are also OK at 141/149, as Jamison/Hughes/Vaga fight for spots, with Travis and Carter Young in wings.

157 I don't know. Maybe Collen Young drops down, maybe a transfer, or maybe Robideau.

Lockett goes at 165 or 174. My guess is 165, leaving 174 open. If he does go at 174, likely Collen Young or a transfer at 165. If he goes at 174, maybe Robb or transfer at 174.

I think even without transfers we are a top 5 team. Maybe top 3. Looks like we are having good 2025 and 2026 recruiting classes. Need one or two more to beat PSU.

Lots of guys competing for 141 and 149 slots. Jamison, Travis, Carter Young, Hughes, Vega, and now Swiderski. All look too big for 133 and too small for 157. Vega may get freshman redshirt, so that is easy. May end up with Hughes or Jamison and Swiderski.

In terms of style, Doucett might be defensive, yes boring but one is for certain. Doesn’t mean he can AA just cause the weight clears out. There was numerous AA’s that didn’t even podium as well a couple natty champs.

I generally agree. Though they may get transfer at 157 (Chittum from ISU is in portal) and not sure if they can get transfer at 174 (maybe Robb moves down or Collin Young moves up).

If you look at guys in transfer portal at 174, not much available.

You were right and it didm't take long. Rocco Welsh, runner up in 2024, entered portal. Also Bailey from Little Rock at 133.

Given how well last years transfers did in NCAA compared to prior year, creates a solid reason for someone wanting to win natty to go to OSU verses Iowa or Mich. We are starting to recruit well, and we have some solid guys on bench, it will be interesting to see how many transfers we take. And do we pick up guys like Bailey where we have solid guys on bench.

I look for Iowa to pick up 3 transfers including AJ.
