Crean was talking about how it is difficult to get guys to change their way of thinking from their previous basketball experiences into a winning mindset. Ok. I can see that. Lutz has a difficult job getting this collection of players on the same page, especially defensively. But as Hyman Roth says, this is the business he has chosen. He needs to get it done.

He doesn't seem hampered to me, except that we're not doing a good job getting him the ball on the blocks.

We barely even look at him in the post. He seems fine. More evidence of what I'm saying, I've heard Lutz say at least 10 times that the best offense is an inside out offense, but no one seems to take that to heart. But its his job to enforce that.

These slow starts are killing us. I'm still hopeful.

Think it’s probably pretty safe to assume we will not be making the tournament again. A real disappointment and underachievement given the expectations at the beginning of season. Also, remember the PR when Lutz was hired? “He’s a tournament guy, all he does is make the tournament, never missed a tournament”…so
much for that!

I don't think he will. He doesn't make excuses. BUT, I'm also tired of hearing the same old thing about not playing defense and taking good shots.
