Violence is not limited to a specific ethnic group.
How the people of that city have been able to stay protesting the way they are should be an inspiration to all. They have had a multitude of opportunities to violently fight back and they have done an amazing job of standing tall and proud in the face barbaric intimidation.
I think for the most part in US history the overall movement of the protestors of the aggrieved has been peaceful. Sure there have been moments in each movement where the aggrieved have resorted to non peaceful methods but the overall movements (ie Civil Rights, women’s suffrage) have been peaceful. Wonder what movements are overall been non peaceful? How the people of that city have been able to stay protesting the way they are should be an inspiration to all. There is a VERY clear historical context of Non Peaceful uprisings in American History and they are all around the same thingsWonder what movements are overall been non peaceful?
