ICE

I used the word privilege wrong in the legal sense of the word, should I go delete it from my post to make you happy?
I might add it had absolutely nothing to do with the cost of an ID.
Do what you want Rob.

When we are talking about voting….we ARE talking about laws and legalities.

So you could have just said, “my bad, you’re right, I stand corrected” instead of your snarky little whine about being corrected.

I’m completely happy whatever you decide.

actually most people can...have you tried?...or are you just 'doing you'?
I have tried to find free transportation for neighbors in my area, nada, so I offered them rides.

Plot twist!
6 of 10 of them who accepted my offer vote democrat. We had pleasant conversations about politics to and from. Not 1 single name called, not even any cuck comments. 😁

cuz you weren't behind a screen...I'm guessing...
where I live, and in most places, you can find a ride...and not just from a neighbor...

So people with ankle monitors can vote in Michigan. I'm sure the experts will tell me that is still incarcerated. So I'll change my word to 2 words. "In prison".

Incarcerated but not serving a sentence sounds like an oxymoron to me. 🙂
What are you if you are in jail awaiting trial but not free on bond? You wouldn't be serving a sentence because you are awaiting trial. I'll give you a hint, it begins with an "i" and isn't an oxymoron. If you are held on an emergency detention order in an inpatient psych facility you are also something that begins with an "i" and isn't an oxymoron and you aren't "in prison" and aren't serving a sentence.

And yes, having to wear an ankle monitor is a form of detainment and thus is also incarceration (JD can correct me if I'm wrong on that one, but I'm pretty sure I'm not).

People are routinely incarcerated pending trial if they don’t make bond or are being held without bond.

They aren’t serving a sentence.

Incarceration just means confined or imprisoned.

Someone can be serving a sentence while not being incarcerated (probation) or can be incarcerated without serving a sentence (pre-conviction).

Oklahoma DOC definitely defines someone released from prison on parole with an ankle monitor as incarcerated still because they are subject to being yanked back into prison for any reason to serve out the rest of their time in prison.

In Oklahoma, and in most states, the operative issue as to whether or not you lose your right to vote is a felony conviction….not incarceration status.

I 100% believe it is different. If Trump did not claim that carrying a gun is now bad, then I would not be seeing a bunch of "right" people posting that the guy should not have had a gun.
He absolutely has a right to carry a gun. Who is saying that he doesn’t have that right??? Maybe start changing your media.

Point out to me the things that the left were adamantly against until Biden or Harris told them to be for it, then they became rabidly for it?
Ahh, this topic dude. Illegal immigration and immigration enforcement.
Claims of Biden being as sharp as a tack.
Or definition of what a woman is.
Show me all the times you have called the companies and people that hire "illegal" for also breaking the law. If not, please explain the difference other than your bigotry. The point isn't that we are using the language call things illegal. It is the use of the word illegal each time for only one thing.
??? They are illegal immigrants. They immigrated illegally! If they had a driver’s license I would not call them an illegal driver. I see plenty of illegal immigrants at school. I don’t refer to them as illegal students.

To your earlier silly statement — we do not have an illegal President — unless you believe he stole the election.

What is bigotry is feeling like some people can’t get an ID to vote. But the soft bigotry of low expectations shines for some, unfortunately (not directed at you, but still sad to see).

Are you drunk? I was replying to your post, which included:
I know this reply is going to carry w it the pain of hitting my thumb w a hammer in 10 degree weather but here goes.

Why in the ever loving hell would I post a list of ideas and then respond two posts later w “thats the way it is now” seemingly in reference to a list that again I proposed?
