Breaking news: A DHS report said two officers shot Alex Pretti and did not describe him brandishing a gun. The initial government review contradicts comments from the Trump administration that came in the immediate aftermath of the confrontation.

Ecuador’s minister of foreign affairs has filed a protest with the U.S. Embassy after Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents tried to enter the Ecuadorian consulate in Minneapolis without permission Tuesday.

That was no mistake my friend.

Ask yourself why the left has lobbied so hard to make voting with no ID a thing.
So, Obama pounded immigration hard. Then Biden said, screw that, we are gonna get a bunch of illegal voters after cheating to win the last election without them. Then, after all that effort, they had fewer voters and lost, with a big issue being immigration.

Ok, sounds pretty legit.

Make government issued id's free and provide everyone access to get one and you would have a better argument. I think it cost me something like $40 to get a real ID. For someone who lives in the middle of a city and takes the bus everywhere that can be an unnecessary expense.

The things about voting is most of us live in a rural enough area that we take it for granted. Id be suprised if it's taken me longer than 15 minutes from the time Ive arrived at the precinct to when Ive started filling out my ballot at any election in my life. Compare that to densely populated areas where you might be looking at 2-3 hours. I don't think everyone understands how hard it is for some people to vote because for a bunch of us it really isn't that hard. It's why democrats tend to be against things that make it harder to vote-not because they don't want secure elections, but because it disproportionately makes it harder for their supporters to vote.

Yep.....

Approximately 2.6 million to over 7 million Americans lack any form of government-issued photo ID, while over 34.5 million citizens (roughly 15% of adults) either have no photo ID or possess one that does not reflect their current name or address. These figures, often highlighted in debates over strict voter ID laws, disproportionately affect young people, low-income individuals, and racial minorities. IE traditionally Democrat Voters....gee @Rob B. I wonder why Republicans want to restrict these people from voting by having strict ID laws

Maybe because, unlike the right side of our country currently, he actually has his own opinion and doesn’t look to party leaders to give him guidance on what he can think.
Do you truly believe one political side looks to their party leaders for guidance and the other side does not? Please be honest.

You are covering for silly virtue signaling of not calling someone illegal when they do something illegally. Virtue signaling is not good…it’s fake outrage. It’s dumb to have to split hairs on the definition of illegal on a political message board.

I’m on the f**k ICE side of things and I don’t think “illegals” is problematic at all.
I don’t have a huge problem with it…..except that it lumps a whole lot of folks into a broad category inaccurately.

For instance, people that overstayed their visas aren’t illegal aliens. Overstaying a visa is a civil matter only. People who have had their asylum claims unresolved or denied but are still in the country aren’t illegal aliens. That’s a civil matter. People that have had their temporary permission to lawfully be here revoked aren’t illegal aliens. Deportation their is a civil matter.

Furthermore, I believe their are different safety concerns and policy decisions to be made depending upon the nature of their status.

Average cost for a state issued ID is $15. Doesn't seem unreasonable for the right/privelege to vote. Most states are free or reduced for low income residents. You don't need a RealID to get a voter ID card.

I provided the homicide numbers from Texas who seems to be the only state that keeps those stats. Now you're the one not using denominators with your stats.
And the "but" means just what he said, percentages so low he can't worry about it.
No, you didn't. You provided isolated incidents, numerators without denominators. Appeal to emotion. Rage bait. I provided statistics.

Believe it or not but $15 is alot of money for some people. Plus you have the cost of getting to the DMV/lost income from having to take off work to get there/ect. Like I said most of us don't think too much about it but when it's grocery money you do.

I did, you selected not to read them.
You provided percentages of white crime without a demonitor like percentage of total population.

  • Texas Data (2013–2022): Texas is one of the few states that tracks this data. During this period, the homicide conviction rate per 100,000 people was:
    • 3.0 for native-born Americans.
    • 2.2 for illegal immigrants.
    • 1.2 for legal immigrants.

If you have to pay for a photo ID in order to vote, that is functionally a poll tax.

24th Amendment prohibits poll taxes. Doesn’t allow for even “reasonable” poll taxes.

That’s why you don’t have to pay to get your voter’s card, and if you have to pay for a license to get your otherwise free voter registration…..you’re having to pay to register to vote….and that’s a poll tax.

And voting is in no way a “privilege”. It’s a right.

I 100% believe it is different. If Trump did not claim that carrying a gun is now bad, then I would not be seeing a bunch of "right" people posting that the guy should not have had a gun. They all became peaceniks claiming the democrats start all the wars. Until he changed his demented mind and started wanting to be a Putin mini-me and threatened Canada, Greenland, then bombed Iran and kidnapped the Venezuelan leader. Suddenly, peace sells, but who's buying? Not MAGA. I remember tariffs being 100% against the will of any decent republican until der leader.
Point out to me the things that the left were adamantly against until Biden or Harris told them to be for it, then they became rabidly for it?

Show me all the times you have called the companies and people that hire "illegal" for also breaking the law. If not, please explain the difference other than your bigotry. The point isn't that we are using the language call things illegal. It is the use of the word illegal each time for only one thing.
