The Des Moines superintendent that was detained today-the press release said it was due to a weapons charge. He was hunting in Pennsylvania a couple of years ago and got pulled over. He had his rifle in the front seat but didn't unload it when he got pulled over because he's a black guy and didn't think messing with a gun during a rural Pennsylvania traffic stop was a very good idea. The cop still gave him a ticket for it. Kinda bs because most people that hunting have done something similar but again black guy pulled over in rural Pennsylvania. Figured it wasn't worth fighting so he just paid the ticket and called it good. Until now...

Its high enough profile that Im guessing the administration will release stories trying to show him in an unflattering light but that's the story as far as I know today. Im guessing his bigger crime was not being born here (although that's unclear at this point) and having a high profile job.

There were no protesters present, which means the ice agent decided he wanted to shoot her. Local police have now begun a criminal investigation of ICE.
