In Shelton, Washington, the unthinkable became reality. Firefighters—people who have already stood on the frontlines of dangerous wildfires to protect lives and homes—were suddenly treated not as heroes, but as suspects. Among them were members of the Cayuse, Umatilla, and Walla Walla tribes, Indigenous peoples whose ancestors have lived on this land since long before the United States ever existed. Yet they were interrogated about their immigration status.

A witness recorded video of the incident for safety purposes, though out of respect they will remain unnamed.

Let that sink in: Native firefighters, rooted in the deepest history of this land, running toward danger for the sake of others, were stopped and questioned as if they did not belong. This is not just wrong—it is outrageous, shameful, and beyond belief.

Just more news as to why you should NOT come to the U. S. as a tourist unless you're white.
