My outrage didn't start with you. My outrage at how disgusting our government through ICE and CBP has been treating people has been ongoing and well documented in this thread. As I said, you are a prominent poster on this board and also defend Trump. I was wondering why you had skipped this thread. I kinda hope you'd come in and say "Yea, this is f#(ked up." But, nope. I also see our local, "I don't like Trump but will respond with likes and winners to any pro-Trump post" @JTOSU has entered this thread also. (Also claims libertarian--- BAHAHAHAHAHA).
I would hope that any decent American would be against masked, ID-less "government agents" rounding people up even if some of them are "illegal." That is exactly the overreaching Federal government that conservatives used to fight against. But conservatives are gone, we now have MAGA, the best friend of big Federal government. It is just shocking to me that people can give up the freedoms that we have fought for so damn easily. But, if you want to try to frame that as a negative about me, hey, everyone gets an opinion.

Do you ever read and comprehend what people post? You, and two others, desperatly want to put words and thoughts into posts that aren’t there…or just ignore what they post. He stated very clearly that he was not okay with citizens being locked up or deported.
I am not going to put words into RobB’s post that he didn’t make. But my guess is he feels sort of similar to me. I would bet we both feel similar to you that ICE needs to change. ICE absolutely should not be wearing masks and they need better leadership to insure they are deporting the right people. But I am far less concerned about an illegal Abrego Garcia getting deported to his home country than why our leaders thumbed their noses at federal laws and allowed for millions and millions of illegals like him to easily enter in the first place. The previous administration made a mockery of immigrants who followed the protocols, many lengthy and time consuming, to join our country.
I would hope any decent Americans would support immigrants.
And yes libertarian. Anyone who spends a few minutes in most any classroom in Oklahoma can see the incredible cost illegal immigrant children place on education. So what does one party want to do to remedy ….tax people more to fund them!! Allow illegal immigrants to jump the line of immigrants and then take away freedoms of US citizens to fund it. SMH

How exactly are illegal immigrants taking away freedoms of US citizens? Or I guess democrats are taking away freedoms of US citizens? Im curious what you mean by that.
Cause I gotta be honest, I dont really feel like illegal immigration has much of an impact on my day to day life.
We are extremely diverse but using total numbers and not percentage can be misleading.
USA Immigrants: ~52,000,000 total population: ~340,000,000 = 15.2%
Germany Immigrants: ~15,000,000 total population: ~83,000,000 = 18.0%

Things that impact the economy as a whole have an impact. Food and housing costs you touched on. I was thinking more along the lines of individual liberty and things of that nature.

This thread has 9 pages that detail the problems of ICE. You made zero posts or even likes until Rob's post that was 99% Pro-Trump and had one line about citizens. That you showed up and gave the WINNER to. Gee, if that doesn't show true colors, what does?
Abrego Garcia was here legally by our laws. He was deported illegally by our laws and this was ruled on by our Supreme Court. Anyone who is "far less concerned" about that is not even in the same stratosphere as libertarianism. That is overpowered Federal government- the antithesis of libertarianism.
I used to consider myself libertarian, as there are some significant libertarian principles that I hold dear. But, the problem with libertarianism is it is often a mix of principles and simple selfishness. That selfish side I find distasteful, as it gives people an excuse to show their bad side and isn't good for a society. The bad side of libertarianism is the only part you seem to understand.
If you are going to look at the cost of educating immigrant kids fairly, you would need to also look at the taxes that the parents pay while getting fewer of the benefits of those taxes than a citizen or legal immigrant would. Anyone whose family member was an executive at the tax commission saw that. And, we both know that if the nation had any desire to stop the line jumping, the way to stop it would have been severe punishment for HIRING people who did not have a right to work in this country. But, that would have harmed rich people not poor people and "libertarians" like yourself can only harm and speak poorly of poor people.
Nope. I had previously thought that you were not a "magat" in that while you like most Trump policies, you would call out the wrongs. In my mind, what he is doing to some of these people who have lived peaceful lives here as permanent residents or vets, or wives of vets etc is beyond disgraceful. I kinda hoped you would feel the same. But, a divisive government makes people divisive.

I placed a “winner” on his post accurately pointing out your outrage and the included statement “nobody wants to be around someone who always got something negative to say. Don’t come messing with my peace just because you can’t find yours”. It had nothing to do with Trump.
I responded to a poster who was throwing up these type posts with a popcorn meme and somehow you made it about me not calling out the wrong in some nefarious actions by ICE.

I comprehend you completely. You finally come into a thread that has one purpose, to discuss/show the horrible things going on from the executive branch of our government using ICE to racially profile and damage brown people's rights. You skip the entire reason for the thread to place a winner on the one thing that makes no sense being here.
I suggest with that attitude that you are careful at funerals and on hospice wards. Walking around telling everyone there not to be so negative and mess with your peace might get your selfish self busted in the face.
Excuses, excuses. I already told you several times I quoted you not because of your response to him, but to see what you thought of the things documented in the thread.
