I haven’t seen one post from “many on here” that advocate for the position you seem to be insinuating. Nearly every post in this thread has been about the tactics being imposed.

Less than 6 hours ago my daughter and future SiL were returning from out of country. He is a naturalized citizen. Did it the right way and has lived a very hard life. He is a phenomenal young man. Has traveled the world.

Just 6 hours ago they both went through immigration on their return. Used the facial recognition line. My blonde haired daughter got the familiar ding and was waved through. Fiancé who looks white in every way. Got the red x and was pushed from the line to be taken for further “questioning.” My daughter wanted to keep eyes on him and was cursed at and ordered to leave the area. As she slow played it an agent stood and began walking towards her. Luckily her smarts took over and she realized that if she wanted to be able to help him she couldn’t do it if she was being held.

He has a spotless record. Not even a traffic stop. Proud OSU alum as are his mom, dad, sister and brother. 2 masters degrees, a JD and 2 engineers. Did everything the right way. He has traveled the world on visa, green card and now US passport. Has his citizenship # memorized. And he was treated harshly and intimidated bc of his naturalization process and birth country. They were scared shitless at 6 am all bc “his college hadn’t updated his citizenship status.” Which by the way is bs.

So yeah. I’m chippy today and have been on edge since they left.

But there is no one on her taking an extreme left position. If so I may have missed it. But good to have you back w partials. You complement the mark well.

Because this still sounds a whole lot like blaming the victim for ICE shooting her when you have previously said that was shooting her was unwarranted by anything she actually did do.

Especially when you say “equally” responsible.

I think he slaughtered her, I don't know or care if it was manslaughter, murder, I sure don't want to believe it was premeditaded..

I think she was there with intent to disrupt ICE, not protest ICE, disrupt them. and put more than just herself in danger. If not for her actions, which I still believe were illegal, the incident would not have happened.

If this still is too much duality for you then I'm sincerely sorry.


Oh, and I'm still extremely upset that she took her dog to the blockade.

Sorry Huck, you may not like it, but the Democratic Party absolutely used to be against illegal immigration. Sometime in the last ten years, that policy direction changed significantly.

The argument should be about tactics that add unnecessary violence or taking about transparency. Building a wall is not a violent tactic. Detaining and arresting illegals is not a violent tactic. The numerous stupid comparisons on this thread to Nazi, gestapo, brownshirts, and need for Nuremberg trials just is a circle-jerk for confirmation bias. So are numerous arrogant white liberal statements that “this country sucks” and there is “a war on brown people.”

Just like MAGA has left the mainstream in the Republican Party and pushed them to extreme, there is no doubt the same thing is happening on the left.

Well, I certainly have not been secretive about my belief that Clinton was the 2nd best President in my lifetime. Numerous posts about Reagan and Clinton (best two Presidents in my lifetime, IMO).
Wish we could get back to the days of opposition party members actually working together on policies that helps Americans (ie Reagan with Tip O’Neill and Clinton with Gingrich).

You have mentioned Clinton before but that wasn't what I was talking about.

You whine about the "war on brown people" comments, yet the main impetus for that is that quite often the business owner is white and the undocumented worker is brown. It is always only the worker who gets arrested. In most activities that have a potential criminal element, it is the powerful side of the equation that gets punished more (drug dealer vs user, fraternization in the military gets the officer). Ideally would be called "war on the less fortunate" since occasional the ethnic roles are reversed.

You claim you are against the policy of letting the business owner off the hook, I can't recall you ever discussing it. Yet, you have chastised people for that comment multiple times. Seems those should go hand in hand.

When our own government from US government accounts or in front of official government press events is actively word for word posting or presenting or speaking the words from the Nazi party in the midst of enforcing their immigration policy what is the appropriate response?

Really. If the US government is quoting nazis what do you call them?

I think we can all agree that someone who is smuggling illegal aliens into the country and housing them in deplorable living conditions deserves to be punished, regardless of their legal status themselves. That being said, notice anything about the names on the list here. To be fair, this was just a simple Google search so I didn't put much effort into it. Just figured you brought it up so I would look it up. And Im not trying to infer anything about you as well-just that my thought process was that you are correct but after reading the listed names involved I noticed a trend.
