Today

Jim Jordan: "You have a right to protest in the street, but that doesn't give you a right to go into the Capitol and disrupt Congress"

Trump two weeks ago: “I didn’t post [the video depicting the Obamas as apes]. This was done by somebody else.”

Leavitt today: “When you see something on Truth Social, you know it’s directly from President Trump. It’s coming straight from the horse’s mouth. That’s the beauty of this president.”

How it started LIBERATION DAY April 2nd 2025!

United States President Donald Trump announced a broad package of import duties on April 2, 2025—a date he called "Liberation Day". In a White House Rose Garden ceremony, Trump signed Executive Order 14257, Regulating Imports With a Reciprocal Tariff to Rectify Trade Practices That Contribute to Large and Persistent Annual United States Goods Trade Deficits. This order declared a national emergency over the United States' trade deficit and invoked the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to authorize sweeping tariffs on foreign imports.

The "Liberation Day" tariff announcement led to a global market crash. In response, the White House suspended the April 9 tariff increases to allow time for negotiation. By July 31, Trump had announced deals with just 8 trading partners: the UK, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, the EU, and a truce expiring August 12 with China.

Roberts, citing a prior Supreme Court ruling, wrote that "the president must 'point to clear congressional authorization' to justify his extraordinary assertion of the power to impose tariffs," adding: "He cannot."

The sad thing is that despite how much I hate him, there are several other people that I hate in his adminiatration more.

He's not incompetent. Well maybe-I think he's more mental than incapable. It's hard to tell-the venn diagram of people who know how to suck up to Trump and are also good at their jobs doesn't overlap that much. Sadly the one guy that is more than capable of both is Stephen Miller. It really sucks that he's capable but someone like Hegseth is woefully inadequate for the position he was given. Especially now

He is the very definition of a nepo baby. We wouldn't have ever heard of him if his last name was not Kennedy.
