Hauss due back soon?

Unfortunately, I predict that Hauss never takes another snap for Oklahoma State University. Not sure where he’ll be playing next year but I don’t believe he’ll be playing here any further! Can’t say as I would blame him either way!

I’m told it’ll be D2.

Unfortunately, Hauss will not play another snap for Oklahoma State football. Doug is gone after the conclusion of this season, and so Hauss is gone as well. This is a fact, but it will not be made public until the season is over.

However, if a booster pays Hauss six figures, he will stay — but that isn’t happening.

Kinda weird how what I suggested two weeks ago is coming to fruition.
Yet some idiot Homer told me he’d be facing a future in D2.😉

He’s already making well into the 6 figure range this season so there’s that. He didn’t come cheap from TCU. Not saying he’s going to or not going to, but there is a lot for him to consider beyond just the season is in the tank so I don’t want to waste a year. For him, what happens the rest of the year is very much going to determine his $$$ for next year.

Hauss has two years in, very limited film. Did nothing but run around at TCU in a couple of games, but also dealt with an injury there. Played 3 series here against an FCS, looked great, but gets injured. Based on the two years, two injuries, and limited film, I don’t think he’s going to get a whole lot of offers to even make what he’s making now. Does he want to be a starter somewhere, high D1? Again, I don’t think there is going to be a lot of interest in investing in a guy based on what we know. Don’t get me wrong, he’ll have plenty of offers, but if he doesn’t play anymore, it will be for backup roles or non P4 teams and less $$$ than he’s making now.

Let’s say though that he goes out and plays and the offense all the sudden goes from looking putrid to halfway decent. His earning potential for next year, staying here or going elsewhere, goes up dramatically. He could earn himself 7 figures next season depending on how he plays the last half of this one, and put the injury thing behind him.
