Interesting perspective from a former GA at OSU.

I love the ideas he’s putting forth, but I just don’t think anyone has any authority to make the Haves get on board with changing the system that they control and benefit from.

It’s looking like the B1G is close to signing a private equity deal, despite tOSU & Michigan’s objections, that’ll provide every school with around $140 million. I think the PE group gets 10% stake.

I think it’s safe to assume that others will follow. To me it’s a slippery slope of mortgaging the future to plug the holes in your current budgets.

The PE firm has backed off on the deal since those two schools objected.

The entire calendar is completely screwed.
Stretch run of the season goes on, while coaches are being courted, signing day is 12/5, & the portal window is during the playoffs.

We got here one step at a time, but this is the most broken system in college or professional sports and it ain’t even close.

Can we just go back to the old days of the sec paying players under the table and osu making 3 stars into 5 star college players?
