Wow, we are just getting screwed on challenges, not that it matters at this point. First base ump didn't have a clue what was going on.
I've never seen anything like that. He didn't rule it fair, he wasn't even looking at it. Then he just magically says safe? He didn't even know where the ball was. Didn't matter, but that was crazy.

Good riddance to this season. On par with OSU athletics for this year.

Maybe 2 or 3 people in the entire program met or exceeded their ability. Kenny has a lot of work to do. I've made my opinion known plenty of times so I'll just leave it at that.

Kenny has got to get some pitching. Meylan is a solid #2 pitcher but she is not Kilfoyle, Maxwell, Eberlie, Show, Rosenberry, Elish. With improvement she could rise on that list next year. And we cannot go into next year expecting Meylan to throw 200+ innings. That's not even fair to her.
I could make the argument she actually is….those players had help..lots of help. She had NONE!! No one on that list pitched that many innings and she pitched in more stressful innings than them due to an inept offense

That said, she needs a ton of help and priority one, two, and three should be pitching and if you need to poach some AA’s from other teams roster so be it!!

Eh, she's right up there with those pitchers. Each of them had a Robin to their Batman and a better offense. Ruby was literally drug into the ground by both the lack of pitchers and offense. Her ERA was around 1.30 in April before she was asked to do the impossible.

But there's no good reason why Oklahoma State shouldn't have 3 competitve pitchers. The reason so far is that we don't develop pitchers, we just get them from the portal.

I think the difference is those pitchers consistently got an out in critical situations and I did not see that from Meylan. Don't get me wrong Meylan is good and I would slot her after Elish on that list. I wouldn't argue slotting her above Elish. But she was not better than the others on the list.

And, I agree, she did not get much offensive support. There's a lot for Kenny to evaluate.

Just for fun here's how I'd rank them

1. Kilfoyl
2. Benedict Arnold
3. Show
4. Eberle
5. Meylan
6. Elish
7. Rosenberry (Ivy was an awesome #2)

Also note that almost NONE of the other pitchers had to pitch in a regional on road at #4. They got to face lesser teams at home. They didn't face that kind of hitting talent until OKC, and often got beat because they were also exhausted.

Either way, the point is the same--Ruby needs some good help. I'm confident she'll be back next year based on the tweets about how she'd die for Coach G and how much she loves Stillwater....but....NIL is NIL so we'll see.

At least we aren’t A&M? The first #1 seed to ever lose in the regional round. Leave it to a Texas A&M team to fail so hard with so much expectation.
True. Shocking that A&M was overrated.

But for the rest of the way I'm for anyone who can end OU's streak. It may be Tennessee since they have already beaten them twice and have a pitcher that can shut them down.
