We told them what we know, under oath," she wrote on X. "They ignored all of it. They moved the goalposts and turned accountability into an exercise in distraction."

And it raises a really big question. I have read that their big sticking point in all of this isn't their willingness to testify but that it would be behind closed doors. Why are republicans in congress so adamant that they don't testify in public?

Not a hard question to answer.
If they testify in public, they control the narrative.
If they testify behind closed doors, MAGA minions get to mischaracterize their testimony and control the narrative.
It's never going to happen but that's why I hope he decides to burn it all down. Kinda hard to mischaractarize testimony when he shows up with indisputable evidence for half of Trump's cabinet.
It also shows how much Trump has declined that he shows his cards so easily.
He has spent years bagging on the Clintons (even had Bill's accusers at his 2016 debate) and suddenly he and Bill are chummy when the possibility of public testimony is out there. Jr high kids are better at hiding their intentions.
