I’ve flipped over to the WBC. Nolan McLean got the start and pitching pretty well, gave up 1 through 4 innings. He’s not getting any run support so far though.

Seems very odd, though. Smithwick caught all 3 over the weekend behind the dish and again today. FWIW, I’m sure it’ll be Fransisco tomorrow. Programs don’t typically rest their guys in midweeks at this point in the year without something nagging them, but ya never know.

That’s what was said on the broadcast. Is it odd…given Meola injury history, probably not. Francisco has been dealing with a nagging hand injury but we’ll see if he goes tomorrow.
