  • Oklahoma State continues midweek action with its fifth game of a nine-game homestand Tuesday afternoon against Missouri State at O'Brate Stadium.
  • The Pokes are 8-3 on the season, the second-best record in the Big 12, and riding a seven-game winning streak. OSU is coming off a three-game series sweep of Sam Houston.
  • OSU's winning streak is tied for the fourth-longest of the Josh Holliday head coaching era and the longest for the Cowboys since winning seven in a row in 2023 (4/16 to 4/30).
  • The Holliday-led Pokes won 14-straight games in 2020-21 (last five games of COVID shortened '20 season and first nine of '21) and have posted 12 consecutive wins twice - in 2023 (2/26-3/14) and 2014 (4/26-5/16).
  • The 2026 season marks OSU's 14th under the direction of Holliday, who is 17 wins shy of 500 for his career.
  • In the first official NCAA RPI of the season, OSU is 36th, while Missouri State checks in at No. 7.
  • Missouri State is 7-4 and on a four-game winning streak of its own after a weekend series sweep at home against Little Rock.
  • The Bears own a .280 team batting average, while the pitching staff sports a 5.02 ERA.
  • Joey Hawkins owns a career 37-29 record in his second season at his alma mater, where he was a shortstop for the Bears from 2012-15.

MO State is 7 in the RPI? Wow

Looking at their record, the only P4 school they played was Mississippi and they got swept. Won a series against Louisiana. Beat ORU twice and swept Little Rock.

Not sure how that translates into a top 10 RPI.

RPI can be easily skewed this early in the year with such a small sample size...
