They are simply putting the ball in play on line drives and sharp ground balls. We are showing off our usual warning track power launch angle swings and swinging out of our shoes at balls out of the zone.

Amazing how making contact leads to runs.

We have two hits through five innings, but only three strikeouts. UCF pitcher has a 0.38 era, so either he is 1968 Bob Gibson or he hasn’t pitched much.

Coming into this game he had a 0 ERA with 18 innings pitched. He was struggling with control early and the Cowboys missed an opportunity to take advantage.

Their closer had a 11+ ERA and OSU did absolutely nothing. Made contact once out of three batters for an easy groundout. And he was a freshman. The two seasoned players struck out swinging at pitches out of the zone. Awful baseball.

Hard to believe the AD would allow the continuing decline in the program given its history and investment in facilities, but unfortunately its anyone’s guess.
