Cincy Friday Game Start Time changed to 1:00 pm due to expected rain storms:

Kendall Rogers mid season projections have 7 B12 team in with only WVU hosting. WVU, UCF, ASU, TCU, KU, KSU, and Cinncinati are projected as in and BU as a last four out. With us sweeping Cinncinati they may be a bubble team. We can improve our possibly selection, if we win TT, UA, ASU, KU, KSU, and TCU series.

Gary Ward seems high on our team finishing strong with our remaining schedule as he indicated Robin Ventura is taking over some of the hitting or batter responsibilities allowing Josh to focus on total head team coaching, so there are some coaching changes or responsibilities taking place with immediate results happening.

Wow. I didn't hear him say that. If Robin has really taken the lead in hitting, that is huge. And kudos to Josh for letting him do it.

Still a LOT of work to do in league play. But at least this week gave them a chance.

This is from a Podcast today on D1:

“ bear: If the season ended today How many b12 teams get in the tourney field?
Aaron Fitt: If the season ended today, I think probably seven: UCF, WVU, Kansas, Arizona State, TCU, Baylor, and either OK State or K State. It’s worth noting that when we do our projections, we never do “if the season ended today” — we’re always trying to project what the final end-of-season field would look like, based on what we know today. So If I looked at the Big 12 through that lens, I’m probably betting on K-State and Oklahoma State to finish over Baylor (and seven bids still being the answer).”

I'd say that makes this weekend in Manhattan pretty huge

Yeah… last week they were discussing Holliday may be fired and everything and just seven days later we may get into the regionals. Baseball Gods are fickle and humbling and week to week you can either be on top of the world happy or on Suicide Watch. No wonder all the old coaches smoked cigarettes in the dug out and we’re over stressed.
