So the shorthorns tonight. I could be wrong but was Cisse out the two times we played UT this season?
Quick piss and moan session, but as it stands right now there is ZERO reason we should be left out of the tourney come this Sunday.
Looking at solely our season on its own merits I wouldn't argue that, but comparatively there is no objectively justifiable reason to leave us out. Browsing the so-called all-important quad 1-4 games list, we have the same number or MORE quad 1 and 2 wins then 22 (TWENTY TWO) other teams that are currently locks for the tourney, of which some are seeded as high as 3. To boot, we also have a higher NET ranking than several of those same teams. Yet here we sit on the outside looking in?
If the committee wants to say we aren't tournament worthy, then fine. But to have teams like Arky, Miss St., Pitt, NC State, WVU, Providence, Maryland, Penn St, Rutgers, etc... in the tournament while we are relegated to the NIT is complete utter BS. Which is really no surprise because that's just like any other NCAA sport.
Again, no real argument against that except comparatively. WVU only has 19 wins and will likely end with that total. Same goes for Penn St, Rutgers, Iowa, and Michigan State. Wisconsin, who up to last night was considered in, only has 17 wins.If we get left out, it's because of our overall record. Those losses to UCF and SIU would be the reason. Dave Hunziker said last night that only one team in history that was only 2 games above .500 has reached the tournament, and they had the #1 overall SOS. Worst case for OSU is 3 game above, but that just doesn't look tournament worthy. Almost ALL other numbers say otherwise, though. But, if we were 20-12 (8-10) we'd be a 10 seed or better right now.
Possible, but not probable.Would sure be nice if we do make the tourney and Avery Anderson could be back for that. Does anyone know if that is a possibility?
He still has a cast on. I don’t think there is any way he playsWould sure be nice if we do make the tourney and Avery Anderson could be back for that. Does anyone know if that is a possibility?
If they would have used our postseason ban as a precedent, many teams would have the death penalty. Instead they got off with next to NOTHING. So they owe us.I’m having flashbacks to 2017-18 (Boyntons first year) We smacked OU in the mouth first round of the tournament finished 19-14 (8-10) and got left out. I hope I’m dead wrong but if we don’t win tonight i think we are just gonna get screwed again.
The bench players were yelling on the second one.Do you think OSU might have an assistant or staff that can watch the shot clock and yell at the guards to get the ball over half court?

The one on Quion where Rice took the charge was beautiful if you’re a ut fan. Rice ran into Quion on purpose and chested up to him. Rice fell backwards and sold it. Definitely was a block but Rice has such high basketball IQ he sold it. Man I wish we had a kid like him.I remember when a charge was rarely called. Only called when it was obvious. The refs are so eager to call it now the defender is rarely in proper position but still get the call.
