If he really wanted to lay one down, he had 2 perfect pitches to do it. IMO he was trying to rattle Phillips, and I believe it worked.

I'd say O'Toole had bad luck with the two bloops, but throwing back to back wild pitches with a runner at 3rd is your own fault. I also think Daugherty could have helped him more.
