Here are the projected lineups and my predictions for Friday's dual against the Sooners. Would love to see what everyone else predicts too!
125: #2 Spratley vs. #23 Lorenzo (M. Dec. Spratley) - Lorenzo has some quality wins but Spratley looks to be on a different level this year.
133: Hughes/#22 Witcraft v. #16 Belton (Dec. Hughes/Witcraft) - Belton is solid, he beat Tagen last year at 141. However, I think Hughes or Witcraft still win.
141: #4 Jamison v. #7 Schwartz (Dec. Jamison) - My pick for match of the dual. Schwartz isn't afraid to let it fly but I think Tagen can get him under control.
149: #14 Young v. #16 McDougald (Dec. Young) - I honestly would've picked McDougald before CKLV but Young looked fantastic over the weekend.
157: #14 Fish v. Schubert/Evans (M. Dec. Fish) - Fish looked amazing on the back side of CKLV, I expect him to continue the streak.
165: #6 Amine v. #31 Picklo (Dec. Amine) - Amine continues to improve, should continue to do so against Picklo.
174: #3 Hamiti v. #10 Sax (M. Dec. Hamiti) - Close match on paper but Hamiti has really separated himself from the rest of the field.
184: #3 Plott v. #23 Parker (M. Dec. Plott) - Parker can scrap but Plott will be too much for him as the match goes on.
197: #12 Surber v. Hill (M. Dec. Surber) - Surber has looked great this year while Hill has not met expectations.
285: #3 Hendrickson v. #23 Mora (Fall. Hendrickson) - It's Wyatt Hendrickson.
Final: 38-0 Cowboys.
I would not be surprised if the Sooners manage to win a few matches, like the McDougald, Schwartz, and Belton matches. However, I honestly think the Cowboys have them beat at every weight. The Sooners have had flashes of greatness this season from some of their guys, but the Cowboys seems to be on another level with DT. Let me know what you guys think!
