Baseball Team needs changes now or at end of the year!

Holliday may need a long vacation or sent to coaches rehab to get his next job. I just don’t believe he has the respect of the team or the capacity to get things turned around this year to get into or host a regional.

If he gets fired, I’m not sure if he will get another head coach job. David Pierce was fired several years ago with Texas and now they are dominating teams and highly ranked with their new HC Jim Schlossnagle. Pierce got the Rice job, but that is quite a step down from HC at Texas.

I know Josh is Tom Holliday’s son and an Alumni of OSU, but he isn’t getting the job done the last two years. It is time to make a change at HC. I think the new Pitching Coach Hawksworth is not ready for B12 baseball and should bear the burden of responsibility for having Wech throw Two Walk Off HR this week.

Clearly this team and coaches are not meeting expectations this year. Josh needs to make lineup changes to try to get this season off life support.

Although I am no expert on college baseball, this team should not be losing these close games by walk off HR or getting run ruled in Mid Week games.

I know others have more baseball knowledge than me, so what are needed solutions to turn this season around? We have a good Defensive Team and Offensive Team, but we are losing games and from my perspective the problem is coaching and we need to hire different coaches!!!

He should be gone now. Let coach ward interim the rest of the year. Ryan Folmar or Dan Heefner would be immediate upgrades over Josh and less salary than Josh.
While I would love it, I don’t think Coach would, at his age do it. Boy, would it ever be one hell of a needed culture shock inn the locker room!

I would think Ventura would be more of a likely interim candidate.

Ventura is on staff as Volunteer Coach and he would be good interim or good HC replacement. I think the new pitching coach Blake Hawkworth is making bad decisions resulting in losing games. Maybe fire him and make me the pitching coach… lol!!!

I kinda find it hard to blame a pitching coach that inherited this staff. Have there been injuries, sure but the cupboard wasn’t nowhere near full in terms of talent. We usually have a couple freshman that can pitch…this year, none of the freshman are ready to pitch. Combine with injuries and you get the product we have…which is complete dog shit!!!
