Baseball Series vs WV

This team is going to massively underachieve this year isn’t it? Man we are really great at giving the other teams freebies, and striking out. This is not a fun team to watch right now and even worse when you have Tom and Hunzicker with the never ending excuses.

A very concerning trend. Guys get worse the longer they are in the program it seems.
Exactly. The one that always comes to my mind is Hueston Morrill. He was a good hitter as a Fr. Made a lot of contact then “someone” told him he needed to adopt the launch angle and hit more HR’s to be drafted and he regressed each year. He would have been drafted regardless. He was also a very good 2nd Baseman. Instead of finding a SS he was moved and became a so-so SS. We weakened two positions.

“I’ve never had a loss that wasn’t hard to take”

When the game goes back and forth
“Have to play those moments better as they reoccur”

“We didn’t put the ball in play enough”

“Credit to the reliever, has the best curveball in the country”

“We didn’t play as clean or as responsive to win the game and those are the things we have to work on”

“Need to work on all elements of the game”

“Guess I’ve lost the sense of this due to all the things that went on the past 48 hours but It is spring break, would love to see some people come out to the ball park and root us on the while we try to turn this thing around”

Just what I want to commit the day to, watching a team strike out nearly 20 times and a mismanaged pitching staff puke all over themselves. Improve the product.

I thought the exact same thing when I heard him say that. Let’s go watch a sucky team that plays sloppy ball. Who wants to watch 6 innings of strikeouts? Is it so common that Josh is immune to it?

Once upon a time you could count on OSU teams playing with an attitude, edge, and swagger. Haven’t seen that from an OSU team in years.

How does he not even address all the strikeouts?

Sabins knew what type of pitcher to put in late once he had the lead. He took advantage of the awful OSU plate approach against breaking balls, no secret for opposing coaches.

Was watching an interview this week where Josh plugged in that the program has a cumulative RPI ranking of 2 the past 5 years.

I thought this was an odd comment to make.

While that stat is impressive, 0 Omaha appearances and 0 supers during that time is a huge failure.

He unknowingly indicted himself thinking he was bragging on his program.

I wouldn’t doubt this guy coming back stronger than ever, but even if he doesn’t come back, that response shows he a winner and will do well in whatever life throws at him!
No one is doubting him…Him coming back isn’t the problem…he’s always bounced back!! Can he stay healthy? He really needs to consider lifer after baseball!
