Other than too many careless turnovers, this group of Cowgirls are fun to watch. Heard is relentless, a true warrior. Asi and Gray are rhythm shooters, and they need to learn that if the shot isn't in rhythm they need to reset the offense instead of taking the shot. Huard isn't the most athletic but plays extremely hard and fundamentally sound. Gritty, tough on the boards.

Huard played extra hard last night and just couldn't get much to go in. Teams go after her defensively a lot, especially in the 4th quarter.

Huard played extra hard last night and just couldn't get much to go in. Teams go after her defensively a lot, especially in the 4th quarter.

She had 8 boards in the 1st half. Hit at least 1 3. Drove hard drawing fouls and getting to the line. Also drew a charge. All in the 1st half when we built our lead.

She does get exposed on defense some but rotation and matchup go a long way toward hiding that. Az St had some quick guards w quick releases.

I like the way she plays. Good shooter when set and not rushed. Doesn’t make too many turnovers. I think her biggest negatives are foot speed on D and sometimes she forces shots.
