Kenny G is loyal to a fault to his players. At some point when does he pull the plug and give Downing an opportunity for the #2 role? Crandall is what she is at this point. Kenny owes it to this team as well as to Ruby to turn every stone.

The staff really whiffed in the portal last off season. None of those signees have contributed much to this team. We made a run at Maya Johnson and then she went back to Belmont. She is 21-2 this season with a 0.63 era. One loss was 1-0 to the then top-ranked UT Volunteers. She might have helped a bit.

We will need to bring in a couple of stud pitchers this year, but I question whether Eberle can do that.
