Honestly, this is probably a good thing wrapped in a bad thing. It is sad that misinformation has been able to captivate so many. But, it has.
I see these benefits-
- I presume it will be human dosing, therefore people will be less likely to buy livestock meds and try to play Jr pharmacist at home and divy the dose, screw up and overdose
- Regular docs like me will not be begged, argued with, demeaned because we won't prescribe it either for COVID or as a "just in case."
- The quacks who tout this super cheap med then make millions online selling prescriptions for high dollar will lose their customer base.

I said around Spring of 2021 that Merica handed our enemies the cheapest weapon of mass destruction, stupidity. What has happened in the last 5 years w the marriage of greed, social media, MAGA & politicians who don’t give a rat’s arse about anything but power we have handed any nation state or even something like Al Queda the ability to create a cheap bio weapon and kill 50-75% of the US bc we won’t do simple things to protect each other.
In reality it probably doesn’t take that many deaths as our society will collapse much earlier.
