That was an epically bad loss. From the time in the third quarter that the Lady Pokes had a 19 point lead on Baylor, they were out scored by 28 points in the last part of the third and all of the fourth quarter.

Another Hoyt team with insufficient depth. We have eight players, so when Girardi or someone else can’t go, the other seven play a lot of minutes. T Heard played four minutes, but I am not sure she is D1 talent. We needed Girardi today.

We also needed to run the set through Heard in the post. Clear out the big. Set a ball screen w Heard and let her repost. It’s what got her going in the 3rd and we never went back when we needed buckets.

She mentioned the end of quarters-- The end of the 3rd was a great example, we have the ball up 14 and the shot clock is off. BU should not see the ball again.
Instead of taking the last shot we throw away an inbounds pass with :06 left and they score easily and cut it to 12.
End 2Q was terrible too.
This team is very talented but it's very soft. Jacie has done a hell of a job overall but I don't know that she instills or demands mental toughness. We'll see. It's just one loss.

She played in the same UAAP (Philippines) league as Favour Onoh.
The WVU coach had mentioned adding her over the summer. But I guess that didn’t work out.
