No doubt a talented athlete. Morris seems to judge if a QB is an Alpha with the "it" factor by if they dominate in multiple sports and this guy definitely checks that box.

He was a beast in dodge ball in the 4th grade. Didn't knock kids down with a throw but could really thead the needle picking off the kids who were hiding in the back.

Did Mestemaker dominate in multiple sports?

Morris took Mestemaker as a walk on, recommended by a QB coach who was a friend. His case is an outlier. Valid question.

He wasn't really recruited and just fell in their lap. But kudos to Morris for taking a chance on him.
