2023-2024 Portal Thread

What is that kid thinking? You are the starter at a top 5, blue blood program. I’m sure he is already getting paid a good amount in NIL.
He was pretty tied to having been Marvin Harrison Jr.'s QB, and he's leaving for the NFL. They've also got a safety and starting corner who've entered the portal. Then add in the dissatisfaction with Ryan Day right now and it could be an interesting off-season in Columbus.

Couldn't happen to a better program.

And now Dillon Gabriel.
Two unquestioned starting QBs going in the portal.

I don’t like the portal and it’s effect on college football, but I understand why a player wants to explore $$$
Sometimes it’s not the money, Gabriel is facing his third coordinator in four years just like our defensive players were last year. I understand why guys like that might wanna leave especially since they have no idea who the head coach is going to hire.

However, I do look forward to watching the Oklahoma media treat this exactly the same way they did when Spencer Sanders announced he was leaving. We all know that’s gonna happen. 😂

Nobody who makes decisions is seriously upset about Ryan Day. Don’t get your news from the free sections of message boards.
Also check his conference record at tOSU

He’s basically being shown the door. There was no future for him at OU with Jackson Arnold on the team

I don’t know how any of these schools/teams can figure out who they need to be recruiting unless you have a policy that says if you enter the portal you will be dismissed from team.

Is that the policy in place at OSU?

You make perfect sense and no, it's not a policy. This is much more nuanced which I am sure you're aware of.

Let it play out, we'll be ok regardless of what happens.

South Alabama’s Caullin Lacy entered the portal. He put up 104 yards and 2 TDs receiving against us. I would take him in a heartbeat if he wanted to come this way.
