Have to accept it with this staff. They believe in good strikeouts. As in “it happens, part of the game, acceptable.”

Josh has said so and I thought it might kill his Dad.

To me it’s absolute garbage but it’s what we have.

We've heard a lot:

"We're not going to pad stats by beating cupcakes. We're going to play the best. That gets you ready for the post season."

However, the #1 ranked defending national champs have played 8 "cupcakes" before today. Not playing tough competition doesn't seem to be hurting them right now.

All we seem to do in February and March is prove we didn't deserve our preseason ranking.

Historically that approach hasn’t helped Josh’s teams in the post season. How many regionals have they won during his tenure? He certainly has not performed well in home regionals.

Edit - I did the research and he has won 3 regionals, now in his 13th year.

Confidence and rhythm are huge in baseball. Cupcakes let you get in that groove.
