The current system sucks as a whole, but with the amount of money randomly distributed across a huge number of schools (and constantly changing based on donor activity), I can see how it would be foolish to not look around at as many schools as possible to potentially find life-changing money...

I definitely get a Moneyball vibe from the coaching staff and GM.

I know it's the current system, but you gotta feel bad for NT. They are basically being penalized for succeeding. I know it's happening elsewhere, but this is just so bad for college football. Completely unsustainable.

It wasn't a matter of skill. It was a matter of effort. Little interest and effort were devoted to it, and it really exposed that approach once NIL + open transfer happened.

I know it's an oversimplification, but I don't think anything will change until ESPN starts losing money or the federal government gets involved to force changes. I'm hoping both happen.

Nothing against Glass - he seems like a great human and a solid coach. But our program became a good ol' boy club, and nobody was holding any of them accountable. I don't like seeing people lose their jobs, but I am glad to see us more or less clean house so we can start fresh. Maybe that...

Did you watch his interview with Dave? He said this week he plans to get to know the kids on the current roster, and evaluate that roster so they can figure out what they have. He's literally starting, right now. What else could one expect from him?

It does make you wonder if being split between two schools or the timing of the coaching switch had an impact, even if it was subconscious, on players and coaching staff.

Fair. I do think people tend to get too polarized on all of this. Personally, I just want to see a coach that demonstrates a willingness and ability to fight for success within the limitations rather than one that accepts the results while blaming the limitations. I want to see innovation...

Goes both ways, actually. We still have people believing we can't compete with NIL funds, need to establish the run game to have a chance to win any game, need NFL OL to do that, the media is out to get us, etc.... Hopefully with time and success, the new regime can cure all of our...
