I like that but would assume the defensive front changes with the scheme change. Regardless I think Oliver and Goodlow play a ton. If Daniels and Franklin are on the field together this year look out. 6'2 with 4.4 speed and 6-4 Daniels to go with it. Wonder which one will be that "special" saftey in the middle in this scheme. My assumption will be Daniels.

I think Cooper is the immediate LT and Etienne will shift to the right but that's just me.

On the RB, my thought is that they brought Elijah Collins in to help out right away. He's experienced and decent in pass pro, so I think he'll see a good amount of playing time. I'd guess the RB depth chart is listed as Gordon or Collins or Jackson.

To the point @Cowboyshoopspride was making, Gundy seems fixated on the odd defensive front. My guess would be a 3-3-5, with Oliver playing almost more of a pass rush specialist. I'm excited to see what Nardo can do with someone as unique and explosive as Oliver.

Etienne is the lowest graded LT in America, Springfield will start at RT if healthy and Cooper at LT. Collins will be in the mix at RB. Johnson III will be in the two deep of not a starter at WR, kid is a stud and has an NFL future. Oliver is probably moving to LB in the 3-3-5. Rawls and Rucker/ likely start at safety to begin the year with Daniels.

The two deep looks to have a ton of talent, pretty far removed “Sky is Falling!!”

Rucker still has eligibility?

Green has moved back to WR away from CB and will likely be starting at one of those spots. Also Kawecki has been moved to center though it looks like Michalski is still the starter there for now. Wilson is staying at guard like he was in the bowl game.

If I remember correctly he got into trouble early when he got here but it was something dumb. Football doghouse, not real doghouse if that makes sense.
Yeah, he did some drinking and driving and hit a parked car in a parking lot. When the police arrived, he told them he was on the football team and to "call dundy".

That's what I remembered also.
But I also thought he transferred from Mizzou, so what do I know?

Unless Stribling or Bruce have a great Spring Practice, they won't be starters.
Notable Transfers in their first year at OSU:
Tay Martin 15-149 yds
Jordan McCray 19-237 yds
Tyron Johnson 18-293 yds

It will be Presley for about 35-40% target share at the WR.
Then Blaine Green (21-314 as a Freshman), Jaden Bray, and/or Shettron.

Owens might be the only player with experience that the newcomers beat out on the depth chart.

I just don't see the returning players getting jumped in the depth chart unless the transfers light it up. It has to be a significant difference.

OSU isn't known to just plug in players at skill positions. It wasn't until the 3rd game that Jaylen Warren became the work horse at RB and it was so obvious when it finally happened.
In the OSU locker room, usually loyalty trumps talent in the line-up.

According to some reports Stribling is already at least a rotational starter. That is supposedly why Green left because he got past in the bowl practices by Stribling.

Stribling was at bowl practices? I didn't even realize that was a possibility.
OSU and his Twitter mention him being an official Cowboy on December 22nd, so he would have a couple days available before the game on the 27th.

He has the build and has shown good stats his Fresh/Soph years at WSU. That would be great, because a couple of the returners have injury history.

I think Bruce is a long shot or maybe the IOWA offense is just that bad and his numbers should be doubled in a normal offense. IOWA is so bad the OC (coach's son) took a pay cut and IOWA has to win 7 games and average 25 pts for him to get a bonus.

Yes everyone of the transfers were asked to join the bowl practices if they could as it is allowed now. Plus once they showed up for practice they were locked in with us. If they didn't do that it was when they showed up for the first class which was weeks later and as had happened with the one RB they could still change their mind.

Bruce has some abilities that we have not had at the inside WR position in that he has shown the ability to get separation. Iowa offense was not really designed to use that position and that was when they even threw the ball. Bruce was actually the second leading true WR on the team (tight ends were leading receivers).
