Would this guy get charged here?

A little mindless change of pace from trump, tariffs, antivax government, loss of due process etc.

I feel worse for the guy charged than the family of the dead teens. But, having everything i owned stolen sort of biases me.

If he was just chasing them I don't think he should. They stole from him and he has every right to retrieve his stolen property. If he was doing something like brandishing a weapon and the kids legitimately feared for their lives after he started pursuing them I would probably feel differently.

Brandishing a weapon virtually never happens in that country.

Not only should the car owner should not be charged, the dead teenagers’ parents should pay for damages since they were minors under their care. Letting thieves steal peoples stuff without consequences leads to more stealing. Don’t feel sorry for the 2 dead morons…

I feel bad the car got ruined as well as the people those 2 morons endangered.

Thats not what i've learned throughout my childhood.

Chances are there was some really aggressive driving during that chase. I think it all depends on what happened once behind the wheel.

Most likely what the story was alluding to. The only other detail was this happening at 4 in the morning. So how busy were the roads? I could see the owner catching a charge if he left the keys in the car in a public accessible area.

If this happened in Oklahoma, I wouldn’t be shocked if they tried to go after the kids parents.
