Claims that they have made a significant breakthrough in Solid State Battery tech will create batteries that can be charged in 10 min or Less, will provide a 20% increase in cruising range and expects to have a car within 3 years with a cruising range (highway driving with no stopping) of 620 miles on a single charge and will weigh 1/2 as much as current batteries and be 1/2 the size of current EV batteries.

Toyota hails battery breakthrough for electric cars
Toyota has hailed a “technological breakthrough” in electric car batteries that it claims will halve their cost, size and weight.
