Love the offense they’re putting together. Really need IMO to start landing some high end OL/DL though.

DL Keviyan Huddleston from North Texas has been added to the commit lists that I have been looking at. 9.5 TFL and 5 sacks as a sophomore last year. Started his career in the Big 12 at TCU.

good hire by osu to get morris. good skill position pick ups too, i think osu will win more conference games in october 2026 than they won in 2024 and 2025 combined!
It's a massive rebuilding job for him though, but playing in the big 12 + Donor interest, this rebuild could happen more quickly. Only problem though is that you really cant win if you dont have good OL/DL

Problem with p4 transfers is that starters usually dont transfer, and if they do, it's because they want a substantial raise. you usually get backups who could project as starters though. always a gamble

It appears that OSU's roster info for 2026 is pretty close to reports about portal entrants. It could be that any of the players on the roster that are in the portal are guys that Morris would welcome back in 2026.

We are going to be more than fine with regard to skill players. I would say even potentially elite, but you hit the nail on the head, we need to follow the Texas Tech model of spending the money on both sides of the line. With a great offensive line Mestemaker, Hawkins, and our new receiving corp could be elite. However, an average to poor offensive line can make good skill players look very average. I also don’t want to go back to being a top five offense with a sieve for a defense which we’ve all experienced many times. The investment needs to be well rounded on both sides of the ball starting with the lines.

What happened to Armstrong Nnodim? Never saw a portal announcement but not listed on the roster either.
I was also wondering about him.

I’ve got to think that the previous staff over paid a bunch of these guys, and now they’re being offered a pay cut to stay so bailing. I know a few have ended up at P4 schools but I wonder how many will end up at places like UTEP, Arkansas State, Tulsa, etc and making less than if they’d stayed.
