Just saying it over and over doesn't make it true. There’s no world, other than the current structure, where anyone can logically argue that ASU & Boise deserve a bye.

You think they’re two of the top 4 teams?Just saying it over and over doesn't make it true.
Seeds and byes have nothing to do with who is the top 4 teams. It's reward for the performance of the season. You want a bye, then when a conference. Notre Dame will never get a bye, that's their punishment for being an independent. You think they’re two of the top 4 teams?
Exactly. Having byes has nothing to do with "who is best" in the view of a group of people. Its solely the reward for winning the conference.Seeds and byes have nothing to do with who is the top 4 teams. It's reward for the performance of the season. You want a bye, then when a conference. There's too many teams for the number of games to know who is the best. This is the only time conferences go top v top against each other. Until now, no one really has concrete evidence of who is best. BSU lost by 3 to the #1 seed. Does that not matter? I don't know if they are any good because the only evidence we have against a top team was a close loss.
UGA barely beat GT and has 2 losses but gets the #2 seed because SEC champ. Texas hasn't yet beaten a team that's still ranked. PSU has 2 losses, with a loss to the same team.as BSU by a larger deficit. Notre Dame's best win is Army... I'm gonna stop there.
ASU has 2 wins over top 25 teams. Texas has 0, Indiana has 0, Alabama has 1, PSU has 1, ND has 1, Ohio St has 2, Tenn has 2. How would you seed the teams?Nobody in the world thinks that ASU & Boise are top 4 seeds, please.
I get it that this is the way it’s structured in yo1, but it’s flawed, which is my point.
Ideally the conferences would be balanced and you could just take the top team from each, with each the conference results being play-in for the championship. But they aren't so you cantExactly. People complaining about those teams getting byes chose to be in the conferences they are in. They can deal with the consequences of that.
He's bought too much into the SEC and B1G have ALL the good teamsASU has 2 wins over top 25 teams. Texas has 0, Indiana has 0, Alabama has 1, PSU has 1, ND has 1, Ohio St has 2, Tenn has 2. How would you seed the teams?
Don’t disagree, but it’s still flawed, that’s all. Boise is in no way a top 4 team and neither is ASU.Seeds and byes have nothing to do with who is the top 4 teams. It's reward for the performance of the season. You want a bye, then when a conference. Notre Dame will never get a bye, that's their punishment for being an independent.

We'll see.Don’t disagree, but it’s still flawed, that’s all. Boise is in no way a top 4 team and neither is ASU.
Not true, I’ve seen Boise struggle to beat very mediocre teams. He's bought too much into the SEC and N1G have ALL the good teams
I sure do. They won their Conference. If those teams want a bye then join an "easier" conference. You keep confusing having a bye with being the better team, again they aren't related, it's a reward for winning a conference. Not true, I’ve seen Boise struggle to beat very mediocre teams.
You seem to be confusing getting in the field with getting a bye.
If you believe that Boise deserves a bye over Tennessee or PSU or tOSU, bless your heart.
Again, you keep confusing wining a conference with me saying that’s flawed when connected to receiving an automatic bye.I sure do. They won their Conference. I'd personally prefer only conference champs in the tournament. Can't be the best team in the country if you aren't the best in your conference with conferences being nearly round robin...but NCAA FB isn't and has never been about finding the best team.
That would be bad news for the Big XII and ACC, 2 SEC and 2 BIG 10 schools or 3 & 1 would get the 4 byes EVERY single year, wether they deserve it or not.Again, you keep confusing wining a conference with me saying that’s flawed when connected to receiving an automatic bye.
It’s going to be gone in a year.
I don’t disagree, & I hate that for our own self interests. That would be bad news for the Big XII and ACC, 2 SEC and 2 BIG 10 schools or 3 & 1 would get the 4 byes EVERY single year, wether they deserve it or not.
By nationally you mean by ESPN and SEC and B1G fans.I’m merely saying that the notion that Boise and ASU are 2 of the top 4 is being laughed at nationally and that my opinion is the sasame.
No, I mean anyone looking at this with any logic.By nationally you mean by ESPN and SEC and B1G fans.
But that’s the fallacy with this thinking. The byes aren’t reserved for “best teams” decided by a group of people. They are reserved for the teams that take home a championship trophy at the end of the season. No, I mean anyone looking at this with any logic.
